Revolutionising the distribution of temperature-sensitive products

The KF cold chain shipping container is an actively controlled shipping container with a transport life of five days for products requiring the maintenance of temperature ranges from 2°C to 8°C. KF Active Control Technology (ACT) maintains the temperature range, adjusting automatically to changing external temperatures. ACT is independent of the cooling source and the size and quantity of the payload. These two features eliminate the need for package re-qualification for changes in payload, shipment origin and destination, or shipping season. Located in the container lid, ACT eliminates the need to handle gel packs when preparing the shipment.

Internal as well as ambient temperature data is logged every five minutes during shipment by the on-board temperature monitor, allowing ready verification that the sensitive payload has remained within temperature limits. Summarised temperature information is displayed via an LCD screen on the outside of the container for easy viewing.
